No ideas what to wear for Friday Night?

http://www.ajc.com/blogs/content/shared-blogs/ajc/prepsports/entries/2008/10/29/ajc_football_take_ten_102908.html

So sorry for the long link, but the Atlanta Journal Constitution came up with a wonderful list of ideas for Halloween!  I particularly like the Laser Idea…

One year my brother went as ”The Foiled Avenger” and almost won a trip to Dublin in a Halloween Costume Contest!.  He was proud of the fact he remembered to not foil over the zip fly on his pants as it was a night of of adult trick or treating (meaning alcohol involved)!

UW Oshkosh’s Mascot gets a Promotion

http://www.advancetitan.com/?se=Lighter+Side&s=7201

As part of Halloween Hijinks the school paper has put mock articles in it’s issue.  Oshkosh’s mascot, The Titan, has replaced Superman for the top position in the  Justice League.

Once again, proving that mascots are a force to be reckoned with…

Boos to thieves at Butler!

http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081025/LOCAL18/810250456/1195/LOCAL18

This post in the indy star has some great quotes and comments.  Butler University is missing mascot costume 1 and 2 and the students are aware of how important a Mascot can be to rally the crowd.  This site is all about the guys that entice a crowd to a roaring stupor and cheer the team onto victory!

Many of the comments to the Indy Star post asked “what’s the dif?”… get a real dog.  I say great for representation of the team but nothing near what a student in a suit can do!!!!

Even UGA has a human counterpart known as Harry Dawg!

The Love of Sports and Unitimidating Mascots

http://theloveofsports.com/index.php/site/comments/top_10_unintimidating_mascots/

So the site, The Love of Sports has listed it’s 10 Least Intimidating Mascots and we at Stories Behind the Fur like this way of thinking.  That’s why we ask what makes these mascots fierce!

What I want to know is how does an orange beat out a tree?  Is that like which comes first the chicken or the egg?— And how is my alma mater’s Golden Gopher more intimidating than an Oregon State Beaver?
