Cocky’s Funeral

According to South Carolina’s Independent Mail article, there are new traditions being created at Clemson. Friday was a different sort of Black Friday for TIger Fans as they held a fake funeral for South Carolina’s Cocky the gamecock mascot.
The pep rally was held for the in state rivalry game. It included a humorous eulogy and a funeral procession let by the school’s Army ROTC and concluded with the burning of Cocky. (no word if children were traumatized or not). After the funeral/pep rally all were served chicken sandwiches courtesy of Chick-fil-A.
And the voodoo and new tradition worked it’s magic as Clemson mauled the Gamecocks 31-14 Saturday.
