Mascot debate at College of William and Mary

The College of William and Mary’s online student paper, The Flat Hat has posted that President Taylor Reveley hopes to unite students in choosing a new mascot for the school. While the tribe has been used recently, Bertel King writes that the phoenix has represented quite nicely in the past. This reminds Stories Behind the Fur of Harry Potter and Dumbledore but if a collegiate entity can have a Griffon as a mascot, by all means a phoenix can represent! We’d love to see the get up for that!
