Although we are past the romance season of Valentine’s, it looks as if Spring has sprung with a true mascot love story! In Arizona, the “married” mascots of Wilbur and Wilma were holding hands not just to be in character! The two people in the suits, seniors Kathryn Wright and Dan McKee, were dating as well!
About a week back, Gretchen Van Benthuysen wrote for APP.com that Gary Shaffer is celebrating America’s sport (debatable after the games in Los Angeles), Baseball, in a new stageplay called Bases Loaded. Instead of acts the play has nine innings and in the fifth inning, unhappy mascots gather in hopes of forming a labor union. How could this not have great reviews in the New York theatre scene!
