Airing dirty laundry with a Flying Dutchman
Student Matthew Richardson is Hope College’s Dutch representative. This is a recently rolled out mascot, with slight resistance and controversy from the student body.
I was excited to hear from someone who is working with a mascot that has to navigate new and unchartered waters to create traditions for the future generations of Dutch.
Hats off to those brave souls diving into the abyss!
